The most powerful and concentrated of all the deluxe/icon wines in the Houghton range, a distillation of blackcurrant, black olive, bay leaf and cedary oak, the tannins lined up in a haughty (sorry for the pun) support. No compromise here - the wine would have pleased Jack Mann enormously.

Deep, dark, dense, rare minerally core, perfume of lavender and gum leaf, black olive, dark cherry and dark chocolate, with gentle mocha oak in support. Medium to full bodied, fine point chocolate and inky tannin, clean length. Slight, but noticeable pepperiness on the finish. It''s a very purple tasting wine, boysenberry and the like, if you take my meaning. It''s a very good Jack Mann too, though it''s fair to say, I''ve never had a bad one.
