Vintage 2019
95 points The Real Review
Deep, rich purple/red colour, with a smoky-charcuterie, delicatessen-type bouquet which leads into a very full-bodied, powerful palate that boasts concentrated flavour and abundant tannins that coat the entire mouth. There's excellent line and length and the tannins promise a long and bright future. Dark plums, blackberry, a subtle lick of mixed spices. So concentrated it's almost an essence. Very long carry. Long-term.

The colour is garnet/magenta, fading to red on the rim. The nose offers notes of leather, cassis, dark cherries, blackcurrants, ripe raspberries and a hint of bacon fat. There are delicatessen meats and herbs, with a touch of warm earth. A seamless wine which lifts on the palate, it offers laser-like focus, silky tannins and great length. Intensity throughout, but a wine which has muscle and yet exhibits such immaculate balance. A stunning Barossa Shiraz.
