The wine combines attractive fruit flavours with savoury undertones, displaying lifted aromas of dark cherry, smoked meat, dried herb and mixed spice on the nose. The palate is elegantly weighted and rounded, and shows bright fruit flavours with earthy mushroom complexity, wonderfully structured by fine, chalky tannins. At its best: now to 2019.

A little thyme and lavender perfume over ripe raspberry and plum, toast and spice. Medium bodied, silky and fleshy in style, with powdery tannin, dried herb and sap pushing through the finish. Feels a bit the product of smart winemaking, but as an entry level Central Pinot, it does the job pretty well.
