Larmandier-BernierRose Saignee Nv
About this product
Forget what you know about Rose. This is something quite different. Saignee literally means plus to bleed plus. In winemaking parlance, it means to use the 'free run' juice of a grape, which is drawn off the grape skins prior to, or shortly after, the start of fermentation.

Full salmon-pink colour with an orangey tinge, the bouquet faintly musty but also has some oak. Oak and TCA vie for primacy but the TCA ultimately wins. The wine is soft and dry and I suspect it is a very good wine under the cork taint. Impossible to rate this fairly.
