Deep red purple, exceptional colour. Very rich, deep, ripe and high-quality aromas and flavours. Rich and full-bodied, smooth ample tannins, very good length and finish. Impressive density extract and fleshiness. Fairly high alcohol but gets away with it. Chocolaty and a trace of fruitcake. Almost chewy - stand a spoon up in it! Ageworthy.
