A very great Hunter semillon, to be re-released in May 2018 at $175 to commemorate the 160th anniversary of Tyrrell's Wines. The wine is still very fresh and yet has acquired all the wonderful toasty and beeswaxy complexities of a mature semillon. The palate is intense and long, pure and refreshing as well as multi-layered, with impeccable line. A benchmark wine. (57 gold medals, 33 trophies)

This is where you marvel at the beauty of perfectly aged Hunter Valley semillon. In pristine condition, hallelujah screwcap, elegant with toasty brioche and unsalted butter, lemon curd and oh-so-fresh. superfine palate, long and persistent. What a joy.
