Very deep, dark, dense red/purple colour. The bouquet is impressively intense and cabernet-authentic while also complex, profound and multi-faceted. The oak is not obvious, indeed, it is very subtle. The wine is tremendously powerful, deep, full-bodied and yet beautifully poised, with supple tannins and great charm. It''s a magical combination of complex good-wine character and unmistakeable varietal cues. A stand-out.

Deep colour. Intense pure blackcurrant, dark plum aromas with roasted chestnut, praline notes. Beautiful concentrated palate with deep-set blackcurrant, dark plum fruit, perfectly ripe sinuous fine-grained tannins, underlying mocha and roasted chestnut oak. Finishes long and flavourful with beautiful tannin plume. A lovely Bin 707 with wonderful richness, density and freshness. A very powerful yet graceful style. Should last and improve 50 years at least.
