Medium deep crimson. Intense espresso, dark chocolate, cassis, graphite aromas with herb notes. Lovely saturated cassis, dark plum, chinotto flavours, fine bitter-sweet, slinky tannins, mid-palate richness and espresso/ mocha oak. Builds up chalky, slightly al-dente firm with beautiful sweet fruit persistence and mineral length. Classic Coonawarra Cabernet with an understated elegance and vitality. Should cellar for a while.

it’s a filigreed wine. An elegant one. It relies on finesse rather than punch. It’s curranty and dusty and a little boysenberried too. It reaches the finish and then keeps on going. It’s not going to hit anyone between the eyes; it’s not one to plonk on the table in an attempt to blow all the other wines and foods away. But it will mature gracefully and charmingly over the course of yonks.
