From Hampton Vineyard, planted 1982. At 450m elevation in Mengler's Hill. Basket pressed; matured 16 months in seasoned French oak barrels. Great vibrancy of colour in a medium to full purple hue. Impeccably defined, compact blackberry, blueberry and satsuma plum fruit drive long through the palate. A fine, rigid tannin chassis has been intricately engineered for the long haul. It holds line, length and integrity on the finish.
