Vintage 2018
95 points The Real Review
Medium ruby colour with slight tinges of purple and brick, a lighter but typical grenache colour. The bouquet is starting to show attractive pot-pourri mellowing perfumes. The flavour is deliciously sweet and cherry-ish: cherry jam, liqueur-macerated cherries, a succulent wine with a pinot-like flavour profile and structure. The tannins are soft and easygoing, perfectly judged, and the finish is long and supple and more-ish. If ever the saying that grenache is the pinot of the Barossa rings true, it's with this wine. (Footnote: the transition to screwcap is a positive move.)
