Good depth of colour, bright, with a touch of purple in the meniscus; the bouquet shows some dried-herb savouriness, as well as smoked and dried meats, and the palate chimes in with some dried dark fruit flavours and a fruit-sweet core that brings a lot of charm to the wine. There's a ferrous/metallic note towards the middle and back. An intriguing wine of compelling character and appeal. Delicious. And great value.
