Dry, Light Bodied style of Pinot NoirYarra Valley, AustraliaThe Ponderosa site sits on a very steep southerly slope tucked into the north eastern corner of Dixons Creek, well protected from the northerly winds. Soils are highly mineral Humevale siltstone. The site produces distinctive spicy ethereal Pinot, like the Pinot Noir used for this wine by De Bortoli, with obvious but gentle tannin. Perfumed, red fruits, briar, cedar, serious and irreverent.

Light bodied red wines have a water-light mouthfeel and light flavour impact. Often pale to light/medium in colour.
