An incredible show career in '15, netting three trophies (Perth, Clare and the Great Australian Shiraz Challenge), a double-gold and five golds in Australian shows. No frills to the winemaking, just good Clare Valley shiraz fruit, oodles of integrated American oak and good tannin structure.

Deep purple/red colour and a clean, fresh fragrant nose of berry fruits, including raspberry, red cherry and blackberry, with oak barely noticeable. There are elements of licorice as well, and the fruit is fully ripe. Full-bodied. The tannins are abundant and measured, balancing the fruit sweetness. The wine is approachable now, but also cellarable: balanced and complete. Great value for money. (The Great Australian Shiraz Challenge 2015 winner)
