Deep red colour with a good purple tint. The bouquet has char-oak, oak lactones, chocolate and cocoa powder, some vegetal 'forest floor' (possibly whole-bunchy) notes as well. The palate is very soft and richly fleshy, with full body and good length, if not great refinement or detail. The vegetal notes persist. An interesting left-field style of Barossa shiraz
