Barossa tempranillo aged for 10 months in a mix of new and mature Hungarian, French and American oak hogsheads and barriques. Dark plum and black cherry with hints of dark chocolate, deep spice, cola, pressed flowers and turned earth. Plenty of moody dark fruits, substantial grainy tannin and a finish that sings of earthen tones and dark spice.

Very deep, dark colour with tints of black and purple; sweet, ripe blackberry jam aromas greet the nose, the palate firm and drying, with abundant tannins providing a solid grip. A solid, firmly structured wine that is a trifle closed right now but promises to reveal more with a little cellar time. Good value.
