Vintage 2015

A 59/41% blend, crushed and destemmed with some skin contact, matured for 10 months in used oak. Slightly brassy colour; a powerful, full-bodied and complex wine. Its track record of development in bottle - and the vintage - underwrites its future.

Interesting expression of these varieties. It’s dry and grippy with only just-enough flesh and fruit power. It’s not slim or dilute, it’s just pretty clear that structure and mouthfeel were placed ahead of volume. You’d call this a savoury white. You’d call it long and insistent. There’s a floral retronasal character and crackles of spice. Super dry to close. Style.
