Bright, youthful, medium to full purple/red colour; bright but not dark. The aromas a very lifted and fragrant, recalling raspberry, mint, and a multitude of flowers and herbs. It's fresh and bright in the mouth, with lively cool-climate spicy flavours and good energy, but not especially concentrated, big or fruit-sweet. Indeed, it's really only medium-bodied. A very pretty syrah-style shiraz. Like previous vintages, it looks more Eden Valley than Barossa floor.

A hew of ancient estate-grown shiraz vines and sensitive winemaking, the overall impression is one of strapping power melded to an avuncular aromatic profile, all corseted by tannins and oak-buried in the mass of dark fruit and savoury interplay of salumi, Australian bushy menthol, pepper, briar, anise and clove. The finish is an endless melody of vinosity and force of personality.
