Deep, rich red colour with a good tint of purple. The bouquet shows plum and blackberry, with a subtle trace of dried-meat or bresaola, the palate rich and supple, smooth-textured and long, the finish clean and relatively dry in spite of judicious sweetness, the tannins supple but quite present. Very good concentration but not overpowering.
