Then 12 months in foudre. Cask sample.Pretty deep crimson. Spicy, high-toned nose is quite a contrast to some of its northern Rhône stablemates, with nose-tingling black pepper in evidence.On the palate this is a muscular, ripe example of the appellation with a hint of treacle and very satisfying balance but definitely worth waiting for while all the many elements tangle together.Something a little saline on the end.
