Glenfiddich
Rare Collection 1961 Scotch Whisky 700mL

About this product

This exceptional whisky has spent almost half a century gently ageing under the watchful eyes of the industry’s longest-serving Malt Master, David Stewart, and more recently, Brian Kinsman, who served an eight year apprenticeship under David, to become only the sixth Glenfiddich Malt Master since the distillery was founded in 1887.  This most distinguished whisky is the first release to be specially selected by Brian Kinsman and is a testament to the pioneering spirit of the distillery’s founder William Grant, whose lifelong ambition was to produce the ‘best dram in the valley’. The refill hogshead, cask no. 9016, left undisturbed for 47 years has yielded only 56 bottles in total. This whisky of a lifetime was laid down in cask in September 1961 and was bottled in October 2009. ONLY THREE BOTTLES AVAILABLE!
