About this product

This wine is made from vines planted in 1990 on their own root stocks in light, sandy, well drained soils. Brilliant pale gold colour with water like hue. Aroma of honey and toast followed by a hint of dry hay and sherbert end notes. The acidity remains quite lively, with flavours of citrus, lemon and honey emerging and toast qualities still developing. Aftertaste of lemon and confectionary.

There was a mineral like, mandarin line running the length of this wine. The wine also had a buttered pastry character. I can only describe the wine as exceptional and honest. It was true to what I was expecting from a 23 year old Vat 1 Se
