Château Beau-Séjour BécotSaint-Émilion 2008
About this product
Château Beau-Séjour-Bécot has undergone many ups and downs in the past 50 years with premier grand cru status approved in 1955, only to be demoted in 1985 after the addition of other vineyard sites. Back on form since 1996, which saw its classification reinstated due the efforts of Gérard and Dominique to produced wines of richness and vibrancy. The 2008 vintage was kind to those in Saint-Émilion with warm days and cool nights and the resulting Merlot dominated blend is one of the bargains of the vintage.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.

This exceptional wine is presently as impressive as the 2010, but obviously it is much more drinkable.
