Deep colour. Intense blackberry, blueberry, plum aromas with cola, liquorice notes. Well concentrated dark plum, cola, paneforte, roasted walnut flavours, inky notes, fine looseknit persistent chalky textures and attractive mid-palate volume. Finishes firm and dry with attractive bitter chocolate, dark berry notes. Generous style with fruit complexity, richness and drive.

Very deep, concentrated purple/red colour and a very dense, latent, reserved bouquet which is filled with typical Penfolds savouriness, not necessarily oak character but coconut, chocolate, spices and black fruits. The palate is very concentrated and dense, fleshy and profound, but the tannins are remarkably smooth and easygoing.
