Château Mouton RothschildPauillac 2007
About this product
The work of one man, the legendary Baron Philippe, is solely responsible for the giant of Bordeaux that is Mouton-Rothschild. Taking charge in 1923 until his death in 1988, he created something the world will always be in debt for. He also started the tradition of getting an artist to design a label for every vintage, a tradition that continues to this day. The wine itself is a triumph of complex and interwoven flavours of blackcurrant and cedar. While elegantly structured, the concentrated palate of richness sets it apart from the rest. A true wine treasure.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.

Paler than most first growths. Lovely complete raciness almost in a Lafite idiom it’s so transparent. Super classy. Just a little chewy on the end still.
