About this product

Château Mouton-Rothschild is the wine legacy given to the world by one man, the legendary Baron Philippe, who is solely responsible for this giant of Bordeaux. Taking charge in 1923 until his death in 1988, he created something the world will always be in debt for. He was also responsible for starting the tradition of getting an artist to design a label for every vintage, a tradition that continues to this day. The 1982 vintage is heralded as possibly the best Mouton of all time, and even after 30+ years in bottle, the wine is ageing at a glacial pace. Robert Parker is known to believe this 100 point wine will age until well past 2050! Wine perfection.
