About this product

CRU Winery specialises in crafting wines from the Burgundian and Rhone grape varieties - such as Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Syrah - from the finest vineyards throughout the Central Coast of California. The acronym "SLH" stands for "Santa Lucia Highlands" in Monterey County, which is where this Pinot Noir was grown. This vineyard is strongly influenced by the Pacific Ocean, with foggy mornings and cool windy afternoons that provide a long growing season ideal for Pinot Noir. Opening with dark cherry, plum and raspberry with a beautifully balanced structure. There is a hint of vanilla and clove on the long finish with well-balanced, damp earth and forest fruit characters. A wine with an excellent balance between the fruit flavours and complex, forest floor characters that this region is known for.
