Dry, Full Bodied style of Shiraz

Michel Chapoutier has created another masterpiece with with 100% Syrah (Shiraz) Côte-Rôtie. Probably the best he's made since the famed 1991 vintage. Dense purple colour greets the drinker with aromas of frangrant violets and blueberries. The palate is devinely seamless with an abundance of cherry, licorice and black fruits. An amazing, complex Côte-Rôtie that is drinkable now, but will live long into the 2030s.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.

Dry

Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.

I might be crawling out on a limb, but I think the 2006 Cote Rotie La Mordoree is the finest example of Chapoutier's 100% Syrah Cote Rotie since his 1991. Inky purple to the rim without a touch of aggressiveness, the wine flows over the palate in a seamle
