Fraser Gallop sure has made giant strides since Clive Otto came on board as winemaker. Suspect that Vasse Felix did him a favour in a way. This is very nice. It's not a big wine but it has lovely balance and flow - a characteristic of 2007 Margaret River cabernet. It tastes of gravel, chocolate, blackcurrant and leaf matter, with pencilly tannins and refreshing acidity. It's a picture perfect cabernet.

A high quality wine from the first whiff of the bouquet through to the long finish; the medium- to full-bodied palate has a tapestry of flavours from the base of Cabernet Sauvignon (88%)/Petit Verdot (5%)/Cabernet Franc (4%)Malbec (3%), all supported by persistent but ripe tannins, the oak absorbed by the fruit.
