Dry, Full Bodied style of Cabernet SauvignonOriginally established in 1969, Barwang source their fruit for this Cabernet from the cool-climate region of Hilltops. Due to the elegant structure and fine acidity present in the wine, it is a perfect candidate to sit in your medium-term cellar. Luckily you don't have to be too patient as Dan Murphy's have already done the cellaring for you in our climate controlled cellars. Ripe blue fruits are really starting to come into their own to compliment the graphite tannin that add marvellous support.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.

Cherry and blackcurrant – dark fruit mainly with an undertow of tobacco and herb plus an aniseed perfume. It has strong tannin, a bit chewy and black tea like – firm but fair you might say and they settle into the wine with some airing (although of course we all know decanting is a myth..) It’s not heavy though, medium bodied and of classic styling, and while not quite as good as the door busting 2006, it’s a pretty tidy wine nonetheless. A beauty for the cellar too.
