CalcanniaClare Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
About this product
Nestled in the Clare Valley’s Stanley Flat region, is Calcannia. It’s moderate-continental climate enjoys cool nights and long warm summer days, retaining crisp acidity, balance and structure in our wines. The palate of this full bodied red wine is muscular and fleshy. The initial impression has some raspberry notes on the front palate, then moves to a dark compote of mulberry, blackberry and blueberry coating the mouth. The medium ripe tannins and soft approachable acid brings power and longevity to the wine.

It's gorgeously expressed and fragrant with blackcurrant, blueberry, violet, dried herb and cedary oak aromas, leading to a richly weighted palate offering ripe fruit intensity with fine texture and well-integrated tannins. Flavoursome and superbly long on the finish. At its best: now to 2033.
