About this product

The Naked Run Hill 5 is a traditional Australian blend of two premium red varieties Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from the Clare Valley. The Shiraz portion is sourced from Hill 5 at Sevenhill and the Cabernet from a small vineyard at Watervale. Small parcels are fermented in open fermenters with a portion of this wine undertaking natural ferment. The wine is fermented for 11 days on skins then pressed to new and older French oak barriques. After 20 months of maturation, the wine is bottled. The Hill 5 Shiraz Cabernet is a vibrant deep cherry red colour. It shows lifted dark fruit, spice, chocolate, and jube aromas on the nose. The palate is rich and full bodied, with great weight and length. Roasted meat and chocolate characters dominate, balanced well with charry, spicy oak and pleasant soft dusty tannins on the finish. This is an elegant wine with nice balance and structure.
