"This is a very striking wine. Crystalline, energetic, nervy and ultra pure. There's a tension in texture but also a pliancy - a tussle between how it captures flavour and feels skeletal while also offering a sluice of cool, juicy fruit. It marries pristine, tart citrus fruit characters, saline elements and incredibly complex layers of slate-like elements.
It's succulent, fine boned and crackles vitality. It's one to both gulp and appreciate slowly. Such a distinct feel to this wine, it's coursing with minerality and so thirst-quenching. Outstanding." - More about Huon Hooke

Bright aromas of lemon drop lollies, quite incisive and with a lightly nutty/toasty undertone that adds interest. A herby basil-like note too. The palate is intense, generous and full, with a dry finish enhanced by a hint of phenolics. There's a faint trace of sweetness but the richness of the fruit is also adding to the texture. Very good balance and a long farewell.
