Deep crimson. Blackberry, dark chocolate, roasted almond, marzipan aromas with cedar wood notes. Beautifully concentrated wine with complex dark chocolate, blackberry, espresso flavours, fine grainy/ graphite tannins and well-integrated mocha, marzipan oak notes, Finishes cedar firm and minerally. Still oak dominant but well matched to the fruit density. Should develop very well. Drink 2025 – 2035+

Another "crowd favourite" on our tasting day. An inner core of dark, brooding fruit is swathed in a sweet, succulent, red plum, regional chocolate bullet, and a vanilla oak comfy blanket. Close inspection detects a spine of ferrous blood-like flavour and prominent vanilla and cigar box oak. Over time, the lashings of sumptuous fruit will deal with that. A treat with scotch fillet now, and an ideal candidate for ten years ageing.
