Isolating the parcels of Kidman Block shiraz fruit (vines over 50 years old) has been a masterstroke, creating a wine that, in a few short vintages, can be said to be among the very best shiraz produced in Coonawarra. Richly concentrated black fruit, with generous portions of red currant and plum, and adorned with perfectly judged vanilla oak, light herbal notes, a hint of smoke and with notable length. This is a wine that showcases Coonawarra shiraz in a highly impressive way. The balance is there right from the start - so get drinking - it’s wonderful stuff!!

This really flexes it's muscles. Strong currant-driven fruit (black and red) comes lashed with caramel, cedar, vanilla and woodsmoke, though it's the thick ropes of tannin that amps up the general feeling of seriousness. This isn't a wine to mess with. It has balance, herb notes, ripe fruit and, most importantly, a noteworthy extra kick of flavour through the finish.
