About this product

Girolamo Russo Feudo di Mezzo is a concentrated and complex Etna Rosso with exciting intensity. It is a single vineyard Nerello made from vines over a century old in one of Etna’s prime contrada. The fruit is dark and brooding, with velvety tannins and a voluptuous mouthfeel balanced with harmonious acidity.
In 2005, Giuseppe Russo was drawn back to his childhood home on Sicily’s Mount Etna to make wine. Named after his late father, he creates elegant and expressive wines that speak of the volcano’s incredibly varied terroir. The crus (or ‘contrade’) in which Russo grows his grapes are among the finest on Etna’s north side, and he conducts all of his production organically.
