About this product

Domaine Dujac's Vosne-Romanée Les Beaux Monts 1er Cru comes from a well-placed parcel on the mid-slope, just above Echézeaux and bordering Cros Parantoux. The domaine has farmed this site organically since the early 2000s, and like the rest of the range, it is fermented with whole bunches and raised in French oak, with around two-thirds new barrels each year. Jeremy Seysses continues the family's focus on site transparency and restrained winemaking. Les Beaux Monts typically shows lifted aromatics—red and black cherry, rose, and fine spice—with a more open-knit structure than the Grand Crus. The palate is detailed and pure, showing fine tannin and a mineral edge reflecting limestone-rich soils. While it drinks well earlier than Clos de la Roche or Clos Saint-Denis, it also rewards cellaring—a clear expression of Vosne-Romanée from one of Burgundy's most consistently respected names.
