About this product

The grapes for this McLaren Vale Tempranillo were handpicked from a vineyard on the outskirts of the small town of Willunga. After gently de-stemming the whole berries, they were hand plunged and allowed to ferment to coax colour and flavour from the skins with minimal additions. Once ferment was complete the wine was basket pressed and raked to new and seasoned French oak barrels for 14 months. This meticulous artisan handmade wine reflects Angove’s philosophy of letting the McLaren Vale soils and environment express themselves through the wine. The finished product has a highly aromatic nose of dark cherries, raspberries and potpourri, and the luscious palate displays cherry, subtle spice and delightful soft tannins that linger long after the wine is gone.
