About this product

The Mitchell family has been quietly toiling away in the Clare Valley producing solid reds and lovely rieslings, without too much fanfare, and their prices remain modest. Deep red with a glimmer of purple, it has a ripe, earthy aroma of spices and sweet plums, inviting and complex, with none of the mintiness common in this neck of the woods. It’s full bodied and spicy on the palate, smooth of texture and supple, with plentiful soft tannins and a long follow-through. Best drinking now to 2031.
