This Hunter Shiraz is intense crimson in colour, with dense purple to the rim. Aromas are equally powerful and enticing: full perfumes of blackcurrant and black cherry fill the glass with cassis-like inkiness, combining with deep oak-spice aromas of vanilla and subtle scents of sandalwood and vanilla.
The palate is equally compelling, showing fully ripe, rich and bold Hunter Shiraz, delivering a dense core of black cherry with beautiful spicy freshness. 2019 is a great Hunter Vintage, and this Shiraz has great cellaring potential. Although it drinks beautifully already, keep for 10 years and beyond for the best reward.
