Opaque core, deep ruby rim. Rich nose of blackberry and cured meats. Deep and weighty black fruits fill the senses. It is well encased in firm gravelly tannins that ensure length and accentuate meat and bloody savoury notes into the finish.

Mostly de-stemmed with 10% whole bunches; 10 months in old oak. A black-fruited brood and a thicket of hardy Mediterranean herbs hold sway here, though like most of the H&Y reds, it pitches to the middle, eschewing obvious fruit sweetness and navigating a structural path that begs for food.
