94 POINTS: Ned Goodwin MW, Wine Companion
James Halliday
Australian wine writer, critic and winemaker

Vintage 2019
94 points Halliday Wine Companion
Subregional sourcing across Seaview, Blewitt Springs and Clarendon, from 30–55yo vines. Matured in 15% new French oak. For the price, this is very hard to top. Even if it were double, it would be impressive. Dark cherry, violet, bitter chocolate, Dutch licorice and clove. Very regional fruit profile, but discernibly noble and far from the madding crowd by virtue of its lithe, slinky tannin profile and well-applied oak; a welcome belt of savoury restraint.
