Château GloriaGloria 2016
About this product
Gloria is an unclassified and relatively young estate, but renowned for producing wines that stand up to many of their more ancient and storied peers. It is often regarded as one of, if not the, best-value wine of St-Julien. The vineyard holdings include a small section of fruit grown in Pauillac, which are allowed to be added to the final blend by special dispensation. Original owner Henri Martin later purchased the classified Fourth Growth Ch. Saint Pierre, for which the wines are made on-site at Gloria, by the same technical team. Gloria is now run by Martin’s son in law, Jean Louis Triaud.

Beautiful aromas of blackcurrants and blueberries. Hot-stone undertones. Full-bodied, very tight and focused with very fine tannins that are strong and bright. Compressed. Serious. Try in 2023.
