About this product

First released in 1983, the Rancia (the wine is named for the vineyard from which the fruit is sourced) is named for a former Benedictine monastery, now known as the Rancia farmhouse. The southwest-facing vineyard is located in Castelnuovo Berardenga at elevations ranging between 400 and 420 metres it has a fine exposure. Newly planted vines are cuttings from the selezione massale or ‘massal selection’ vines in the old Rancia vineyard.
