A 2.13ha monopole of the domaine and located within Caillerets, the oldest vines here date back to 1954. There is less surface soil and much more rock in this upper section of Caillerets producing a wine of with great minerality and finesse. Over the years, the domaine has reduced the amount of new oak (to around 30%) while gradually increasing the amount of whole bunches.

Once again there is a distinctly restrained character to the pure and exuberantly spicy dark currant and raspberry aromas. There is terrific punch and delineation to the classy and refined medium weight flavors that flash plenty of minerality on the ever-so-slightly drying finish that I ascribe to the recent bottling.
