Deep red/purple colour, with a very ripe, almost jammy bouquet of super-ripe fruit, dark chocolate and mocha, and an overtone like cherry eau-de-vie. The wine is full and broad on the palate, rich and weighty with firm, slightly grippy tannins and lacks the line and elegance of the 2018. It's a more middle-palate wine. A heady wine with a slightly alcohol-warmed finish. Very good, while a big contrast to the 2018. (56% cabernet sauvignon, 25% merlot, 9% cabernet franc, 10% petit verdot. Aged 20 months in barriques, 70% new, 30% one year old)
