Vintage 2013

Seven clones, hand-picked, crushed, open-fermented, 11 days on skins, matured in new French oak. A massive wine that has largely swallowed the oak, but in doing so has obscured the fruit.

Vintage 2016

(Second bottle tasted) Deep colour for a pinot with the faintest tinge of purple still there on the rim. The bouquet is lifted by obvious volatile acidity, the smell of nail polish remover. The wine is chunky and stolid, lacking pinosity and attractive texture, the tannins tough and block-ish.
