Dry, Medium Bodied style of ChardonnayBurgundy, FranceThe François Carillon Domaine, created in 2010, is the long-lasting legacy of a wine family business that dates back to the 16th century in Puligny-Montrachet, a very typical wine village in south of Côte de Beaune - Burgundy’s most renown terroir for white wines. Located in the heart of the village, the estate owns and manages today a sixteen-hectare-vineyard located in Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and Saint-Aubin. The estate produces about seventeen (depending on the harvests) different appellations, mainly in Chardonnay.
The 2016 Blanc is a golden, luminous colour. Rich and fresh aromas of yellow peaches play against a salty mineral backdrop. The palate is full of juicy, delicious fruit with a refreshing finish.

Medium bodied white wines have a lightly textured mouthfeel with moderate flavour impact. Often pale lemon coloured to pale gold.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.

A pretty nose combines notes of various white-fleshed fruit with those of soft citrus and floral nuances. There is both good volume and intensity to the slightly fruity flavors that possess acceptable depth and persistence on the attractively dry finale. A pretty bouquet of confit citrus and white flowers, framed by a subtle hint of oak, introduces a full-bodied, nicely concentrated wine with good depth, freshness and dimension for its level. An impressive introduction to the François Carillon range.. Decanter.
