This serves up exceptional quality for the price: abundant blue fruits and tapenade notes are slung across a mid to fullish palate, all scrunched across a wiry frame of iodine-laced tannins, peppery acidity and a gentle dollop of vanilla pod oak. Some anise and cardamom invoke suggestions of the Mediterranean on the lithe finish.
