Medium to full red colour with a tint of purple and a super-ripe, sweetly perfumed bouquet of violet and cranberry, which is starting to show some evolution with some bunchy notes that add layers of detail to the bouquet and flavour. Morello cherry on the palate. The tannins are ample and add a pleasant firmness to the finish, together with some alcohol headiness. Toast, leather, truffle and 'roasting pan' nuances are developing. Long, long carry. A well-built pinot that seems destined to mature to advantage with time. It has a style all its own, and is highly appealing.
