From the Smart vineyard, Clarendon, planted in 1923. Red fruits, almond, floral, spicy, slight smokiness, a mint and nori thing happening and a this old school fly spray business, which some may find an odd reference, though old-timers may get it. Medium-bodied, red fruits, fine emery tannin, nutty and gently chewy, again the almond and subtle spice, and a firm finish offering some salinity and plump red fruit. Lovely drink.
